Aims and objectives

Cornwall Film exists to support the development of a sustainable media industry in Cornwall.

By focusing on the three core areas of sector development, product development and inward investment, Cornwall Film aims to provide a comprehensive, integrated environment for media business incubation and development in the region.

• Sector development: to assist the development of a viable and vibrant infrastructure that can sustain audio-visual production in the sub-region.
• Product development: to provide investment and support for an increase in audio-visual production via Production and Development Funds and industry-specific mentoring.
• Inward Investment: to attract national and international companies to film in the sub-region, using local facilities and co-producing with local partners.

In addition to delivering distinctive interventions to specifically address Cornish needs, Cornwall Film will act as a gateway to other resources and work in partnership with South West Screen, Business Link and others to ensure that Cornish beneficiaries can access regional initiatives.

Alongside the development and production of projects and products, we want to build the commercial acumen and capacity of Cornish media businesses. We want to help companies to develop the skills and contacts they need to gain greater access to markets and potential clients. We believe in Cornwall's creative talent and developing media businesses.
