About UsCornwall Film is committed to making our project accessible to all. If you need any part of this website to be translated into another language, please contact Miranda at office@cornwallfilm.com or call 01326 253 692. Please also contact Miranda if you would like to see a copy of our Equal Opportunities Policy or Environmental Policy. In the last few years, the media industry in Cornwall has undergone a resurgence. Cornwall Film has been developed to support the growth of this exciting sector. Cornwall Film was set up in 2001, and initially focused on script and project development and short film production. Between 2002 and 2004, Cornwall Film supported over 50 projects, spending almost half a million pounds and attracting much more in inward investment. From 2005, we broadened the work of Cornwall Film to include support for television and new media/digital media projects in addition to film. From January 2005 to July 2007, Cornwall Film has been administering the AVIS-D Project, financed by the European Union via the European Regional Development Fund, and a partnership of South West Screen, Cornwall County Council and Penwith District Council. We are also delivering Innovation in Digital Media, supported by the Rural Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Partnership and the South West Regional Development Agency. The ERDF project has had a total value of more than £1.8 million including businesses' private match funding, and is aiming to attract inward investment of £7.8 million to the region over four years. To date we have invested in over 60 local businesses. From July 2007, Cornwall Film is continuing to deliver our media network, Cornwall Media Focus, and we are working to raise further funds with which to continue supporting Cornwall's media industry. Watch this space! We look forward to continuing out work to develop a sustainable media industry in the region, supporting experienced media companies already building successful businesses, and nurturing our new talent and future entrepreneurs.
